Formex brand plastic encapsulated flotation blocks are made of a high density, high molecular weight polyethylene that is impermeable to water. They have a solid EPS (expanded polystyrene) core that conforms and thermally fuses to the shell. All floats have a 300 mil thick mounting strip running down each side, so the floats can be screwed to your marine structure.
